A Former Head of State and Chairman, Infrastructural Consection Regulatory Commission, ICRC, Chief Ernest Shonekan, has stressed the need for increase in economic and social infrastructure, to place Nigeria among top 20 economies of the world by 2020.

Chief Shonekan stated this in Abuja at the opening of the national seminar on public private partnership with the theme “transforming Nigeria’s infrastructure for public private partnership”.

He observed that public private partnership was inevitable considering the huge investment required to fill the infrastructure gap.

The Former Head of State said the improvement of the Nigerian economy towards achieving a vibrant public private partnership was possible with the support of all stakeholders including infrastructure service users.
