The law giving legal backing to the operations of the Nigerian Telecommunication Commission, NCC, is to be amended to make the commission more responsive to the needs of the people.

The Chairman, House of Representatives Committee on Communication, Mr. Oyetunji Ojo, stated this when he led members of the committee on an oversight visit to the premises of the NCC in Abuja.

He said the lawmakers were not too impressed with the level of the supervision of the G.S.M. operators in the Country by N.C.C.

Reports say the visit followed complaints about drop calls and epileptic telephone services to the public by service providers.
