A Veteran Broadcaster and former Staff of the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria, Chief Ikenna Ndaguba is dead.

The deceased, who was aged 76, hailed from Anambra State. His death was confirmed by his son, Okechukwu Ndaguba, who also said that detail of arrangements for his burial would be released later.

Ndaguba was said to have died at a private hospital in Abuja, following a brief illness. The news of his demise was made public during a church service at the Anglican Church, Abuja, where he worshipped.

Family sources said that Ndaguba was flown abroad about three months ago for the treatment of an ailment, and was flown back after receiving medical attention.

The late Ikenna Ndaguba retired from service as Executive Director in the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria in 1995.

He was also well known for his flair as a foremost Master of Ceremony at major National and International Events.

Ndaguba, who was husband to former National Agency for Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) Executive Secretary, Mrs. Catherine Ndaguba, was a co-owner of the Crowther Communications Limited with Chief Christopher Kolade.

He began his broadcasting career at the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria, now FRCN, where he retired at the level of a director.

The Director-General of the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria, Mallam Yusuf Nuhu has described the late Veteran Broadcaster, Ikenna Ndaguba as a thorough bred professional who rose to the pinnacle of his career.

Mallam Yusuf made the observation at the Abuja residence of the deceased broadcaster when he led a team of top management staff of the Corporation on a condolence visit.

His death he said would no doubt create a big vacuum in the industry and wished the family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.

He was also well known for his flair as a foremost Master of Ceremony at major National and International Events.
