Nigeria basketball team, d’ tigers will today engage Lithuania in their second game at the on-going London 2012 Olympics.
D’ tigers triumphed over African basketball champions, Tunisia 60-65 while Lithuania lost to Argentina 105-79 in their opening matches respectively.
Meanwhile, Nigeria’s quest for medal in the boxing event at the summer games in London suffered another setback yesterday as the last of the two Nigerian male boxers, Lukman Lawal crashed out in the hands of a Jordanian boxer, Ahmat Bouli.
Lawal now joins his country man, Muyideen Akanji, who had earlier crashed out on Sunday, while the only female boxer in the contingent, Ogoke Edith remains in contention.
