Nigerian President, Dr Goodluck Jonathan has ordered all relevant security agencies in the Country to ensure that those involved in the killing of Senator Gyang Dantong representing Plateau central senatorial district and others are brought to justice.
A statement by the Special adviser to President on media and publicity, Doctor Reuben Abati, described the killing as cruel and regrettable.
The President also commiserated with the Government and the people of Plateau State, including the leadership of the Senate over the incident.
It would be recalled that the Chairman, Senate Committee on Health, Senator Gyang Dantong and the majority leader of Plateau State House of Assembly, Honourable Gyang Fulani were yesterday killed while attending a mass burial for victims of Saturday’s attack by unknown gunmen on Barkin-Lardi and Riyom local governments in the State.
