Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan has directed federal relief and health agencies to ensure that survivals of the explosion from linkages of fuel from a fallen tanker at Okugbe, Rivers State, who sustained injuries, receive prompt medical attention.
In a statement, President Jonathan expressed sadness of the lost of many lives caused by the fuel explosion.
President Jonathan expressed his condolences to the families of the victims, the Government and the people of Rivers State.
Over ninety persons were yesterday morning burnt to death in a petrol tanker accident at Okugbe in Ahoda west of Rivers State.
The State Police Commissioner, Mr. Mohammed Ndabawa said further investigation into the cause of the incident was in progress.
