The Nigerian Red Cross society Ekiti state branch has appealed to the State Government to provide it with necessary facilities that would enhance humanitarian service.
Chairman of the society Mr. Felix Adeojo made the plea in Ado Ekiti at a rally marking this year’s international Red Cross day.
Mr. Adeojo said the quest of the society to perform its primary responsibility of saving loves had been hampered by lack of facilities such as ambulance, office and medical equipment.
Similarly, the Secretary of society Mr. Femi Osadiya affirmed that prompt and inadequate first aid treatment had contributed to the increasing rate of death among accidents victims.
Mr. Osadiya solicited the support of Government, individual and corporate bodies in providing the society with an enabling environment that would make it provide relief to the vulnerable in the society.
