The implementation of Multi –Year Tariff Order policy, MUTO, being proposed by the Federal government on the use of electricity power will be at the interest of the general masses.
The Osun State Director of National Orientation Agency, NOA, Mrs Oluremi Wilson and the General Manager of National Control Centre of the Power Holding Company of Nigeria, PHCN, Osogbo, Mr. Akinwumi Alade stated this in Osogbo at a day sensitization programme organised by NOA in collaboration with Federal Ministry of Power and Nigeria Electricity Regulatory Commission on the policy.
According to them, the new policy would enhance regular and stable power supply as it would attract private investors to provide power for the populace.
While admonishing people to stop wastage of power at home and work places, they maintained that the new programme would save electric consumers from paying for what they did not enjoy.
In a good will message, the General Manager of Gold FM, Ilesa, Mrs Omowunmi Adebola-Bello who admonished Nigerians to embrace the policy due to its numerous benefits gave assurance that the station would not relent in educating members of the public on the policy.Last Updated (Friday, 01 June 2012 14:45)
