The Lagos State Government says it will deploy the necessary resources to assist the Federal ministry of works on the repairs of the third mainland bridge.

This was made known at a joint news briefing in Ikeja, by the Commissioner for works and infrastructure, Mr. Obafemi Hamzat, and his transportation counterpart, Kayode Opeifa.

The Lagos State Commissioner for works stressed that his ministry had met several times with officials of the Federal Government to discuss modalities for the repair work and its impact on Lagosians.

Earlier, the Commissioner for information and strategy, Mr. Aderemi Ibirogba, who coordinated the briefing, said it was aimed at correcting misconception about the repair works.

Report says the rehabilitation of the third mainland bridge will commence next month.
