Super Eagles Chief Coach, Stephen Keshi, wants the Kogi State Government in Nigeria  to establish a professional football club which can compete in the Nigerian Premier League.

Keshi who made this known while inspecting facilities at the newly-constructed Lokoja confluence stadium in the State, said such a club would help launch the State into the international arena.

He commended the State Government for constructing the 25,000-capacity stadium and called for its proper maintenance.

The Speaker of the Kogi State House of Assembly, Alhaji Abdullahi Bello who led the Coach on the inspection tour said Keshi was invited to inspect the stadium in a bid to attract international competitions to the facility.
