...World Bank Logo...The World Bank says it will continue to provide necessary support to the Federal Government Programmes and Polices aimed at addressing youth unemployment problem in the country.
A sector leader of the World Bank in Nigeria Mr. Foluso Okunmadewa stated this in Abuja at the commencement of training of one thousand five hundred graduates on Information Communication organized by Outsourcing Development of Nigeria.
Mr. Okunmadewa stressed the need for government at all levels to provide a reliable Data Base that would guide development partners in proving capacity to fill the gap in the labour market.
He urged the government agencies to collaborate with the private sector in developing the skill needed to drive the Transformation Agenda.
In a remark, the Chairman of the Outsourcing Development of Nigeria, Mr. David Onu, promised to continue to embark on building the capacity of graduates to enable Nigeria Youth to compete favourbly in any world labour market.
The Director, Research and Innovation of the National Universities Commission Abuja, Professor Val Ekechukwu urged relevant interest groups to extend training on ICT to undergraduates in tertiary institutions.
